I’m running for re-election

Last year, I was in an uphill fight to win a state representative seat no one expected me to win, a race in which our campaign was outraised by a 4-1 margin. But what we lacked in funds we made up in hard work. I won the race by 1.46% the smallest victory margin in the Texas legislature in the 2022 election.

The hard work didn’t stop with the election. I immediately went to work for you. I worked across the aisle and with both chambers to send 90 pieces of legislation to the Governor’s desk that have been signed into law by Gov. Abbott. I also passed a budget amendment that secured an additional $6 million in state funding for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) to help babies and toddlers overcome developmental, cognitive, and speech delays as early as possible. I was honored to be named Freshman of the Year by the prestigious Texas Legislative Study Group for recognizing our focus on policy and for never losing sight of our constituents. 

But my work isn’t finished. There is so much more to do. I’m running for re-election to protect public education, deliver safe health care for women, and deliver real property tax relief for the residents of Collin County. I’m running to stop the hatred and nonsense and get the legislature focused on delivering results for all Texans. We need to build a Texas where people feel safe. Safe in our schools and in our churches, movie theaters, shopping malls, and restaurants. Collin County deserves representatives who are focused on the needs of our community.
