In 2022, Mihaela Plesa flipped one of the most competitive Texas House seats—and she’s been delivering for Collin County ever since. Now, she’s running for her third term to keep putting people over politics and fighting for what matters: great public schools, safer communities, affordable living, and real opportunity for every Texan.

Mihaela passed laws to support teachers, veterans, and working families. She helped secure $8.5 billion for public education, delivered major teacher pay raises, and passed the largest property tax cut in Texas history. And when extremists pushed school vouchers and attacks on personal freedoms, Mihaela stood her ground.

Mihaela was elected by her colleagues to serve as Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, honored by the Texas Professional Educators Association, and received the Dr. Mae Jackson Outstanding Democratic Woman Officeholder Award from Texas Democratic Women. 7 bills for which Mihaela was the primary author, and over 130 for which Mihaela was the joint author or sponsor, were signed into law.
