Patriotic Millionaires Champion: Abdul El-Sayed (MI-SEN)

Abdul El-Sayed is running in the Democratic primary for Michigan's open Senate seat, vacated by Sen. Gary Peters' retirement.

Abdul is a a public health expert who previously worked as a physician and the Director of Health and Human Services for Wayne County. He is running on a platform centered around economic populism that is strongly aligned with the Patriotic Millionaires agenda, and he's gotten off to an impressive fundraising start, raising $1.8 million in Q3.

Though the primary for this seat is expected to be very competitive, Abdul is in a great position, and Patriotic Millionaires is proud to support his campaign. Abdul will need all the support he can get to advance to the general election and ultimately be a champion for our priorities in Congress, and holding this seat in a state Trump won in 2024 will be absolutely essential if Democrats hope to retake the Senate anytime soon.
