Daniel Biss is the Democratic nominee for Illinois's 9th district, which was vacated by the retirement of Rep. Jan Schakowsky. Daniel is a former Illinois state rep and mathematics professor who currently serves as the mayor of Evanston. During his tenure, he has developed a track record of fighting for economic relief for his constituents, and his campaign platform is highly aligned with our priorities. He is extremely smart and an effective communicator, and we think he will be a terrific advocate for our issues as a member of Congress.
Daniel officially won the primary on March 17th after raising an impressive $2.5 million and racking up endorsements from the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Tammy Duckworth, and Rep. Schakowsky herself. Since the general election isn't expected to be competitive, Daniel is almost guaranteed to become the next US Representative for the 9th district.
Patriotic Millionaires is proud to support Daniel's campaign, and we're excited to welcome him to Congress in November!
