Patriotic Millionaires Champion: Dan Osborn (NE-SEN)

Dan Osborn is running as an Independent for Nebraska's Senate seat, currently held by Republican Sen. Pete Ricketts.


Dan ran a thrilling campaign in 2024 against Sen. Deb Fischer, going from a heavy underdog to getting almost 47% of the vote against an incumbent Senator in a dismal year for Democrats, and now he's back for another shot.


He's running as an Independent, and the Democratic Party in Nebraska will be supporting his race again. Dan is a Navy veteran, industrial mechanic, and former union leader who is running on a populist platform that is strongly aligned with the Patriotic Millionaires agenda, and he's raised an impressive $1.3 million so far.


While he's expected to advance to the general election unopposed, Dan will need all the help he can get if he wants to pull off the upset next November. This race is rated solid R by the Cook Political Report, but Dan's contrast against a billionaire like Pete Ricketts should inspire voters and make the race competitive.
