Patriotic Millionaires Champion: James Talarico (TX-SEN)

James Talarico is running to unseat Republican incumbent Senator John Cornyn for Texas' Senate seat. Through President Trump won Texas in 2016, 2020, and 2024, this race is expected to be competitive in 2026, and uncertainty around the Republican nominee could create an opening for Democrats this cycle.

James is a member of the Texas House and a Presbyterian seminarian who blends a faith-based approach with a strong populist platform that leads with our priorities. He was also a public school teacher and is an eighth generation Texan, so he has a deep understanding of Texas and knows what he can do to help fight for them.

James is confident that his strong Christian faith and populist ideals will help him appeal to independent and conservative voters in the state. It's been challenging for Democrats running statewide in Texas the last few cycles, but Democrats need to be competitive in states like this if they hope to retake the Senate anytime soon.

James won the Democratic primary on March 3rd and will advance to the general election, and he's raised a whopping $20 million so far. James is a strong supporter of the Money Agenda and the need to tax billionaires and fight for working Americans. He will need all the help he can get to pull this off in November, and Patriotic Millionaires is proud to support his campaign.
