Lt Gov. Peggy Flanagan is running in the Democratic primary for Minnesota's open Senate seat, vacated by retiring Sen. Tina Smith. She is currently serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, and she is running on a platform centered around economic populism. Her campaign is highly aligned with our priorities, and Peggy is a strong supporter of taxing the rich and raising the minimum wage.
Though she's starting off very strong in the primary, she's going to need all the support she can get if we want a true economic champion in this Senate seat.
