Support POWER Northeast

POWER Northeast (Pennsylvanians Organized to Witness, Empower & Rebuild ) is an interfaith nonprofit organization committed to interrupting oppressive and inequitable systems that have historically, negatively impacted African-American, Latino and poor white communities in the Lehigh Valley.

Faith-based, but not faith exclusive, POWER Northeast is committed to undoing the structural impact of race in 4 key areas: Education, Mass Incarceration, Economic Dignity and Civic Engagement. Our work focuses on both short-term and long-term solutions, aimed at disrupting racial inequities here in the Valley.

We train local congregations, clergy, and concerned residents to research, analyze, and disrupt racial, social and economic disparities through:
-- Effective grassroots organizing
-- Leadership development
-- Engaging communities of color
--Non-Violent Direct Action
--Courageous Conversations on Race
