Color Of Change

Nadine Smith Join's Color Of Change as Incoming President!

Color Of Change is excited to share that nationally renowned civil rights leader Nadine Smith will join our team as President and CEO starting on Jan. 12, 2026! Nadine built Equality Florida into one of the nation’s most effective civil rights organizations. She has been at the frontlines where she has demonstrated again and again for three decades what it takes to win and defend civil rights, including defeating 29 out of 30 regressive bills over the past two years.

Now that assault on democracy is a national project, we need leaders who will not be intimidated by those who see our progress as a threat to their power. Nadine is one of those leaders, with proven grit and a resolve that has only grown stronger with each challenge.

A grassroots organizer, Nadine has spent her career taking on corporate interests and forces of extremism, demonstrating the tenacity and courage that we need at this moment to win the fights ahead. She understands that our mission runs deeper than political cycles or administrative changes, and she shares our commitment to the collective power of organized communities.

As Nadine joins our team, we need your support to keep up the pressure on corporations and lawmakers who have the power to stand up for what's right. Pitch in $20 or more to welcome Nadine to the COC team and support our campaigns to defend our rights and our democracy itself!
