Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Arkansas GOP have spent 2023 overseeing an onslaught of anti-LGBTQ+ bills and laws that specifically bully transgender kids and the state’s librarians/teachers who make any attempt to support their LGBTQ+ kids and communities.
Arkansas Democrats in the state legislature have done their best to block or water down these measures, but there is only so much representatives can do in a GOP-supermajority legislature.
For Pride 2023, let’s look towards the future for the sake of all LGBTQ+ Arkansans and their allies. This starts with the 2024 elections, where Arkansas Democrats have a chance to make significant gains in local, state, and federal offices for the first time in quite a while!
Throughout Pride month, this fundraiser will accept donations to be split between 3 of the states major Democratic institutions: Arkansas Democrats, Young Democrats of Arkansas, and the Progressive Arkansas Women PAC. Each of these institutions has been essential in recruiting the Democratic party’s candidate base and turning out voters.
Every dollar helps to rebuild the state party and further protect the LGBTQ+ community from Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s crosshairs.
