No woman should have to involve attorneys, the court, and the media into her own private healthcare decisions. This is a traumatic event already for her and her family, and now the world is in on it. This is wrong on so many levels; most of all, it is inhumane.
What’s happening in Texas is because of the state legislature. This whole debacle is the consequence of the people we elect.
It could happen to you. It could happen to someone you love.
In fact, did you know that despite Aug 2nd’s resounding message, the Kansas state legislature returned 5 months later and created 21 anti-abortion bills—Two of which are now law? Our 40 House Democrats are defenseless in sustaining Gov. Kelly’s vetoes. We need 42.
This is why we need to fill state legislatures with people who will defend our freedoms—not take away our rights.
If you can invest the maximum $500 investment into our future, we can flip west Manhattan and strengthen our fight in the legislature.
