Promises Made, Promises Kept
In the 2024 Virginia Legislative Session, Del. Phil Hernandez hit the ground running and sent EIGHT bills to the Governor's Desk. Collectively, these bills will have a clear, direct impact and will make life better for families in Norfolk and Virginia as a whole. In addition, all eight bills earned bipartisan support, including:
- HB 407: Expands access to affordable childcare
- HB 558: Provides Tax Relief to Certain Military Families
- HB 855: Allows More Families To Lower Energy Bills
- HB 857: Helps Families Manage Court Debts
- HB 861: Prohibits Firearms in Hospitals
- HB 862: Promotes A More Efficient Electrical Grid
- HB 896: Safeguards Social Security Income
- HB 1458: Strengthens Coastal Resiliency Innovation
In addition, Del. Hernandez protected fundamental rights, from abortion rights to voting rights. But we can't stop now. Chip in to help keep Virginia moving forward.
