Prommunism

TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT, contributions to the form are welcome to support Point of Pride and Ithaca DSA!

Prommunism is Ithaca DSA’s pro-trans, communism themed dance party! With Trans Day of Visibility around the corner, we’re centering trans artists and fighting far-right transphobia with solidarity, community, and lots of dancing!

And our Prom theme? We couldn’t go for one of the corny high school ones, so we’re going with … communism!

The party will get started on Thursday, April 3, at Argos Warehouse (416 E State St) at 8pm. We'll dance and have performers until midnight.

You can buy drinks at the bar. This event is 21+.

Suggested donation for your ticket: $30, but pay what you can! Prommunism is about living out the spirit of to each according to their ability, to each according to their needs. Assuming that we don't hit capacity before the event, you can buy tickets at the door.

Proceeds from this event will support both Ithaca DSA and Point of Pride.

Point of Pride is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial aid and direct support to trans folks in need of life-saving gender affirming care. More information on this organization can be found here: https://www.pointofpride.org/ .
