Public Assembly is a 501(c)3 non-profit theater company dedicated to reinventing community theater in Los Angeles and beyond.
Every month we develop a show of three brand new short plays centered around an audience-proposed theme. Tickets are pay-what-you-want, there's an open bar, and the show runs for one night only to sold out crowds of 200+ people.
Our community is our artists. The only requirement to apply to develop with us is that you've seen a Public Assembly show. We've supported over 100 writers, ranging from seasoned professionals to complete first-timers.
We are now turning to our community for the first time to ask for your help in making this project sustainable! We invite you to join us by making a fully tax-deductible donation!
No donation is too small and we gladly accept donations from Donor Advised Funds.
We believe community theater can and should be surprising, alive, ever-changing, and accessible. We hope you do too.
Public Assembly is not affiliated with any political parties or causes.
