As our communities continue to suffer the impacts of fascism through the annihilation of support programs designed to keep us healthy and resourced, and through the doubling down on systems that incarcerate, criminalize, and economically indebt us, we have long realized no one is going to step in to save us. We have to save each other.
The reality is that someone who is stressed about feeding their family will have poorer health outcomes than someone who isn’t. Someone who is worried about keeping a roof over their head is less likely to find time for resistance. And that’s by design. The #PWNCares Mutual Aid Fund is just one way we can ensure solidarity within our movement, safety for our members, and build systems of care that meet our people’s needs. We are here to do more than survive. We are here to live, to love, and to thrive together.
This fund provides trans and cis women, gender diverse and transgender people living with HIV with up to $500 of emergency funding for healthcare, housing, or another pressing need. Our communities needs are growing and the only way to sustain our fund and ensure it helps as many people as possible is with your generous support.
