The Case for Support: Equality Michigan Action Network (EQMI Action) serves as Michigan’s premiere statewide political advocacy organization. It is made up of passionate individuals who invest their time and talents championing the rights of the LGBTQ community. It works proactively to address the needs of our community through policy advocacy, building political power, community empowerment, and education. EQMI Action acts from alertness of the issues that continue to face the LGBTQ community, and vigilance toward threats to our community’s safety, well-being, and legal security. Its strength is its unmatched ability to talk directly to people, one-on-one; the type of real human interaction that research shows is the most effective way to engage voters. With the new political landscape, EQMI Action’s work is more important than ever.
