QTrust - Give More to Texas Slate

The LGBTQ community in Texas has been fighting anti-LGBTQ legislation every session since Republicans took legislative control after the 2002 elections. Democrats are now nine seats away from the majority in the Texas State House. While advancing pro-LGBTQ legislation would be a priority of a Democratic-controlled House, conservatives in the Senate and far-right Governor Greg Abbot (R) would be a roadblock. Redistricting and a new Speaker of the House would give progressives a seat at the table to help draw both legislative and congressional maps ahead of the 2022 elections. This has the potential to have a major impact on four new congressional seats and the entire State Senate.
