The Case for Support: Over the past 25 years, the Texas Freedom Network has become a progressive powerhouse in one of the reddest states in the country. From our organization’s beginning, TFN has been an indispensable partner with allies on the front lines in the fight for LGBTQ equality in Texas. We helped to pass a hate crimes law that includes sexual orientation, to block legislation allowing private business and government officials to use religion as a license to discriminate and LGBTQ people, and to kill a discriminatory “bathroom bill” targeting transgender Texans. And now TFN and TFN PAC are uniquely positioned to hold anti-LGBTQ candidates and elected officials accountable for their actions and votes while we also support individuals up and down the ballot who share and whose actions reflect the values of equality and inclusion.
