Keep Texas Democrats in the Fight to Stop Trump’s Gerrymander
Donald Trump and Texas Republicans are trying to ram through a racially gerrymandered congressional map that would steal five congressional seats ahead of the 2026 midterms. Over 50 Texas House Democrats have taken the extraordinary step of leaving the state to prevent a quorum, blocking the vote and stopping Trump’s plan cold.
Republicans have responded with civil arrest warrants, daily fines of $500 per lawmaker, threats of removal from office, and even the involvement of the FBI at the urging of Senator John Cornyn. The goal is clear: break their will and force them back so the map can be passed.
We’re not letting that happen.
