RE-ELECT RACHEL EHRLICH TO MADISON COUNCIL

I'm running to defend my seat on the Madison Borough Council and keep the momentum going!

In my first term, I worked hard to deliver on:

 

• A climate action plan aligning Madison with the NJ Energy Master Plan and incorporating greenhouse gas reduction, clean energy, and resiliency at the strategic level of Borough planning and budgeting.

 

• A new, 44-unit 100% affordable housing development, close to transit and downtown shopping, that emphasizes quality design and deep energy efficiency with lower utility bills, high indoor air quality, and solar panels for each unit.

 

• A direct relief program for Madison residents and small businesses who were impacted by COVID layoffs and business closures in 2020.

 

• Madison's first ever solar energy project, planned to generate enough local, renewable energy for 220 homes.

 

• A new, forward-looking Master Plan, which relied on an extensive public engagement process to distill important values and aspirations for Madison as an equitable, sustainable, healthy, resilient, and welcoming community.

 

I’ve worked hard as a Councilmember to bring meaningful action to Madison, and I will keep delivering on progressive values that set a high bar for local government and serve as an example for other NJ towns.
