This is an existential period for Democrats. Voters want leaders who fight, not fold.
The New York State Comptroller is the most powerful state executive in America — managing a $285 billion pension fund and auditing over $250 billion in state spending.
For too long, Democrats have had caretakers and technocrats in this office. Voters are tired of politicians who don’t fight, don’t want to use power, and don’t know how to use power. Meanwhile, Trump and Republicans openly use power to reshape America. It’s time Democrats do the same. We need fighters who will wield their positions to put up a firewall of defense against MAGA extremism as statewide leaders.
Raj is running to bring the power of the Comptroller's office to the people.
As Comptroller, Raj will deliver tangible improvements for New Yorkers:
- Affordable Housing: Invest pension capital in New York housing instead of out-of-state projects.
- Lower Junk Fees: Use shareholder power and audits to end abusive consumer practices like “click-to-cancel” traps.
- Reduce Medical Debt: Audit hospitals and insurers, expose predatory billing, and leverage pension strategies to help families.
- More Child Care & Health Care: Direct investments into projects that make life better for working families.
- Help Migrants & Workers: Use oversight power to ensure billions in state spending are used fairly, efficiently, and humanely.
