After 11 days of bombing from Israel’s military and a 14-year blockade, Gazans desperately need support. And right now, Baitulmaal is on the ground, distributing emergency food and water supplies in Gaza.
The U.S.-based international humanitarian relief agency’s first round of aid included refills of Gaza water tanks and 224,000 meals to Gaza residents, as well as those living in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, where families are still in the midst of forced displacement. Baitulmaal operates 300 water tanks in Gaza and funds a healthcare clinic for families in the occupied West Bank.
And we must keep listening to Palestinians on the ground about their experiences and needs, which is why we’re also supporting the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU).
The IMEU expands public awareness about Palestine and Palestinians, reaching millions of Americans by providing journalists with quick access to high-quality information, perspectives, and resources—including videos, fact sheets, expert analysis, infographics, connections with Palestinians to share their stories, and more.
The IMEU is amplifying Palestinian voices and growing support for Palestinian rights, and it’s working: Polls from the last few years show that Americans’ opinions on Palestine are shifting. As more U.S. residents become aware of how our government funds and is complicit in the Israeli government’s human rights abuses, more are demanding an end to the occupation and apartheid policies.
Please donate generously in solidarity with Palestinians. May we all be free.
