Art for Democracy

Art has the power to inspire, challenge, and bring people together. This special collection celebrates that tradition by supporting Make Rural Voices Count, a community driven initiative working to strengthen civic participation and representative government across rural Washington.

We are deeply grateful to the artists who have generously donated their work in support of this effort. Featured artists include internationally recognized painter and collage artist Jody Joseph, acclaimed painter, illustrator, and author Julie Paschkis, and noted ceramic artist Joe Max Emminger, along with other generous contributors who believe every community deserves to have a voice.

Proceeds from this exhibition will support the next phase of the Make Rural Voices Count campaign, expanding billboards, community outreach, educational materials, and public engagement throughout rural Washington. These efforts encourage civic participation, strengthen representative government, and remind people that their voice matters.
