Ghazala is running for VA's state senate in District 10, a seat currently held by Republican Glen Sturtevant. Ghazala is a college professor and administrator with 17 years' experience working in the Virginia Community College System; she co-developed Complete 2021, a 6-year vision for VA's community colleges, as a member of the statewide Strategic Plan Taskforce. She has also been a Board Member for Richmond's Center for Inclusive Communities, working to build social structures that support all races, religions, ethnicities, abilities, and gender identifications.
