Rebecca Amidon lives nestled in the Manistee National Forest with her husband Ryan and their two children Ace, 5, and Indigo, 2.

Rebecca is running for State Senate because she believes government should work for everyday people, not corporations or political insiders. Raised with strong Midwestern values, she advocates for working families, small towns, and those whose voices are too often ignored. Rebecca has seen firsthand how political dysfunction and extreme partisanship hurt communities, especially in rural and working-class areas. She is running to bring down the temperature, bridge divides, and deliver practical solutions that put people first.

Rebecca’s top priorities are lowering costs for families, protecting access to healthcare, and investing in local communities. She is committed to defending public education, expanding access to affordable childcare, and ensuring rural hospitals and labor-and-delivery units stay open. She believes workers deserve fair wages and safe workplaces, seniors deserve dignity and security, and every child deserves a real opportunity to succeed. Rebecca is running to restore trust in government by showing up, listening, and delivering results, because politics should be about improving people’s lives, not scoring points.
