Vice Mayor Michele Weiss and her friends on City Council never accepted the outcome of the 2021 mayoral election. When I was reelected, they refused to work with me. For the last two years, they have obstructed the work of the City and opposed the progress that the people of University Heights reelected me to implement.
Instead of running for mayor in 2025, Michele Weiss and her friends on City Council are trying to recall me now and take over the mayor's office this year.
I have done nothing that justifies a recall. What I have done is dedicate my life to serving the residents of University Heights.
Under my administration, University Heights has seen
● Enhanced safety & public services
● Improved relationships with labor unions
● Fiscally sound management & clean audits
● New city branding & magazine
● Active engagement on regional boards & commissions
● Productive collaboration with local, state & federal officials
● Promotion of green & sustainable practices
● Increased community programming such as Fall Fest & Juneteenth
These efforts have advanced the City's priorities regionally, driven dollars and projects to the City, and renewed civic pride. Most importantly, these efforts have improved the quality of life for the whole community.
Looking to the future, University Heights and other cities face a number of challenges. Addressing them will require collaboration, creativity, and competence. We should be focusing our time and resources on solving problems, not creating them.
We should be focusing on the work of the people. Michele Weiss and her friends on City Council want to focus on petty politics.
We should be embracing and advancing community. Michele Weiss and her friends on City Council want to spend time and resources dividing the community.
We should be positioning the City for the future. Michele Weiss and her friends on City Council want to drag the City backwards and overturn the 2021 election.
Don't let them.
Donate today to help the people of University Heights and me defeat City Council's recall so we can finally get back to work serving the people of the City.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan
