Reclaim Black Friday
Black Friday has become an embarrassment of consumerism. This year, experts are projecting Americans will spend over $3 billion between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But imagine what we could accomplish if we all decided to spend just a little less with retailers and gave something to support groups doing some amazing work like The Collective.
While people of color make up almost 40% of the US population, over 90% of our elected officials are white. This year, we are RECLAIMING Black Friday and encouraging everyone to support something that will really make a difference in our lives – building black political power.
That’s right. All across the country, the next Barack Obama, Cory Booker or Maxine Waters is gearing up to run for office in 2018. And we need to have their backs. Step up and join us this Black Friday.
