2023 Primary Election
The primary election in 2023 as a battle to define the role of city government. Will it continue to be an institution in service of large corporations and a small group of wealthy, powerful individuals and political actors - or will it become a true structure of civic service that lifts the working class, multi-racial majority by addressing poverty, funding public goods and services, investing in our public schools, transportation, affordable housing, community safety and violence prevention?
