I'm Thomas W. Dufour, and I'm running for reelection as your At Large Member of Brook Park City Council. Dufour does the work to keep our community moving forward:
- Stronger Economic Development: I supported stronger restrictions against car washes and worked with the mayor to create the Storefront Targeted Area Redevelopment Program (STAR) to invest over $500,000 in our city's major business corridors.
- Positioning Brook Park to Succeed: Introduced a resolution that passed city council unanimously, encouraging the Cleveland Browns to invest in a domed stadium and mixed-use development right here in Brook Park — what would be a nearly four billion dollar investment in our community.
- Investing in Our Streets: I was proud to support over five million dollars in street improvements in two years and voted for the largest-ever roads program paid for without incurring debt.
- Supporting Our Parks: From the reconstruction of Carpenter Park to new amenities at Wedo Park, I've consistently backed improved playgrounds and green spaces.
- Community Protection & Well-Being: I introduced legislation requiring clear permit displays for street vendors to keep our children safe, expanded penalties for recurrent abusers of handicapped parking spaces, and introduced an ordinance to help keep our city clean. I also authored a resolution to support suicide prevention training in our community.
- Building Toward the Future: I brought forward first-of-its-kind regulations for electric vehicle charging stations, voted to approve a new senior medical facility (ArchWell Health), and supported funding to finally fix the natatorium roof and walls.
With your support, I'll continue Keeping Your City Working for You. Let's build on our successes and keep Brook Park moving forward—together!
