Fire Director Chris Shaw is a small business owner, community volunteer, and President of the North County Fire Protection District Board of Directors. Raised in San Diego County, Chris and his wife, Sally, moved to Fallbrook with their daughter, Vicky, in 2016 and quickly fell in love with the community they now call home.
Since joining the Fire Board in 2022, Director Shaw has helped oversee major investments in public safety, including renovations to Stations 1, 2, and 3, a fourth ambulance and crew, three additional firefighter positions, and construction of a permanent Station 4 in Pala Mesa to replace a temporary facility used for nearly 50 years. These improvements have strengthened emergency response and firefighter readiness while maintaining a balanced budget and without raising taxes.
Now serving as Board President, Chris is running for reelection to continue strengthening emergency services, preparing for future community growth, expanding wildfire preparedness and outreach, and keeping North County Fire financially responsible for the residents it serves.
