Over the years, I have witnessed and felt the impact of State-mandated policies and rules at the County level.
Now, my aspiration is to bring my varied experiences, as well as the voices of the people of Orange and Caswell Counties, into the discussions and deliberations of the North Carolina House of Representatives. I therefore am running to become the next Representative for House District 50.
This will be a challenge, and challenges offer me the chance to think critically and creatively in the effort to improve the lives of the children, adults and elders I serve.
My primary issues include:
- Quality Schools from Pre-K to Community College
- Infrastructure for Vibrant Post-Pandemic Economies
- Climate Change Mitigation & Ecosystem Management
- The Right to Vote and the Right to Representation
