Help us put rent control on the 2024 ballot in Massachusetts.

On September 6, Attorney General Andrea Campbell certified our rent control ballot petition to proceed to the next step of the initiative process: signature gathering.

If approved by voters in the November 2024 election, our initiative would repeal the 1994 prohibition on rent control and replace it with the Tenant Protection Act, granting power to municipalities to enact local tenant protections, including rent control or rent stabilization, just cause eviction protections, and other associated protections and regulations.

But first, we must collect 74,574 valid signatures by November 22, 2023 to proceed to the next step of the ballot initiative process.

Over 300 community leaders have already pledged support for our campaign. By making a contribution today, you will be helping us hire more organizers, reach more voters, and collect all the signatures. That moves us one step closer to giving Massachusetts voters the opportunity to lift the ban on rent control in the 2024 presidential election.
