SFVYD is proud to host our 21st Annual Robert F. Kennedy Awards! This year's event will be held at the American Legion Post 176. Attendees will be provided with (1) drink ticket and dinner.

The RFK Awards power our campaign outreach and leadership-building efforts throughout the year. They also provide a platform for our members to recognize extraordinary honorees who demonstrate unwavering dedication to values important to young Democrats in the San Fernando Valley. RFK also maintains our ability to provide free programming throughout the year and uplift nonprofits doing critical work.

When: Friday, May 31, 2024

Time: 6:30-9 PM

Where: 602 Pico St #176, San Fernando, CA 91340

Parking is limited. We advise you to use rideshare or public transportation. If you choose to drive to the event, you can find street parking nearby.

Dress Code: Our theme pays homage to our honorees and the rich history of our venue, where the echoes of past performances by icons like Ritchie Valens still resonate. Dress to impress in classic black, white, and gold attire, as we celebrate the timeless elegance of the silver screen! 

This year's honorees are:

1) Legacy Award: Ernesto Medrano, Executive Secretary of the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Council

2) Trailblazer Award: Assemblymember Luz Rivas

3) Mentorship Award: Andrés Molina, Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party

4) Labor Award: Writers Guild of America West
