As a native Charlotteann and sergeant with over 30 years of progressive experience in community engagement, public safety, investigations and leadership, I am prepared to serve as your next leader of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff Office. Throughout my career, I have proven to be an experienced, trusted and compassionate leader with a strong moral compass who puts the safety of all people first which I will continue that legacy as those are my core values.
My top three areas of focus include:
1) Ensure a culture of trust, transparency and professionalism within the Mecklenburg County Sheriff Office.
2) Work collaboratively with community programs and initiatives to support reentry of those who are justice involved.
3) As the next sheriff, I am committed to ensuring the safety of both the staff and inmates while in my care.
