Momentum21 began as The Momentum Initiative in 2005 as a citizens group started by an eclectic mix of corporate professionals, elected officials, Capitol Hill staffers, civic workers, and non-profit workers. Committed to promoting engagement to the "politically apathetic young professional," The Momentum Initiative hosted countless events that brought together elected officials, political candidates and young professionals for several years in Washington DC and Atlanta, GA.

 

Members of The Momentum Initiative went on to form Momentum21, a Super PAC dedicated to funding communications and advocacy that advances equity diversity, inclusion, and criminal justice reform in America.
