A spark turned into a surge — and now it’s becoming a wave. For too long, our district has been treated like it doesn’t matter, like our families can just “make do,” like rural voices can be ignored. But that era is ending. People are standing up, speaking out, and refusing to settle for leaders who don’t understand our lives or fight for our needs.
You can feel the shift everywhere — in meetings, picnic shelters, in neighbors who’ve never been politically active suddenly asking, “What can I do?” This isn’t quiet frustration any more. It’s momentum. It’s determination. It’s a community rising together and saying: We deserve better — and we’re going to build it ourselves.
This fundraiser isn’t just another event. It’s fuel. It’s fire. It’s the moment we turn energy into action and action into impact. When we show up together, we prove that this district is not invisible, not forgotten, and absolutely not powerless.
Come enjoy music and a social hour. Supper will feature pulled beef sandwiches made with homegrown SD13DFL beef, pulled pork sandwiches and a vegetarian choice. We’ll have a silent auction. Candidates attending include Trent Dilks SD13DFL State Senate, Arlis Sayler SD13A DFL State House, Justin Doyle SD13B DFL State House. Doug Chapin for the United State Congress in District 6 and Zack Filipovich for Minnesota State Auditor.
Invited guests include Peggy Flanagan for United States Senate, Amy Klobuchar for Governor, and Ben Schierer for Lt. Governor, and Steve Simon for Secretary of State.
