In 2018, Patience Frazier experienced pregnancy loss and was criminalized by prosecutors in Nevada. Patience deserved compassion after her pregnancy loss. Instead, she was arrested, incarcerated for two years, and separated from her children.
The Repro Legal Defense Fund is supporting Patience and others like her. If you read her story in the Washington Post this week and would like to make a donation in her honor, please donate today.
Thanks to the work of expert witnesses, support of amicus briefs, her attorney Laura FitzSimmons, and If/When/How, Patience was released from jail, and the judge called her criminalization “a total miscarriage of justice.”
Her story was detailed in a report by the Washington Post that outlined how Patience was targeted and criminalized for her pregnancy loss.
People going through a pregnancy loss deserve compassion, not cops. They should be able to grieve and care for themselves and their families, free from the threat of punishment and continued harassment. Patience should have never had to experience this.
Please make a donation in Patience’s honor to show her your support.
