I am a volunteer with and supporter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. As a mother, as an employee on a college campus, and as an informed citizen, I worry about safety in our community and the threat gun violence poses. My work with Moms has given me an opportunity to make a difference in making our community safer from gun violence. This June 2nd I’ll be wearing orange to recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day and to honor victims of gun violence. I’m also raising money to support the work that I and thousands of others do in our state. I’m asking my friends to join in and make a donation of $18 as 18 is the number for "life" in Judaism and I am working to save the 93 Americans that are killed each day by gun violence.
