Clayton's team is the first Democratic Ag Commissioner campaign in (known) Texas history to reach $500,000 from 5,000 individual donors.


As of the July 2026 financial reports, Team Clayton had $160,000 in cash on hand, which was more than our Republican opponent.


Clayton has the 3rd-highest social media presence among Democratic candidates on the statewide ticket, following only Talarico and Hinojosa, and has traveled over 70,000 miles to meet with Texans all across the state.


Clayton has over 2,000 volunteers working across Texas. Team Clayton is composed of 10 staffers.


Team Clayton aims to raise at least another $250,000 this election cycle. These funds will be spent on a multifaceted, dynamic GOTV strategy including radio and TV ads, direct voter contact through canvass teams and phone banks, and coordination with other down-ballot campaigns
