Marissa Roy

Let's Elect Marissa Roy as LA City Attorney

The City Attorney is elected to represent and fight for the people of Los Angeles and to serve as the City’s lawyer. I believe that means protecting workers from wage theft, renters from illegal evictions, and consumers from fraud. It also means getting serious about public safety, with strategies that break cycles of criminalization, reduce recidivism, and make everyone in our communities safer. And it means standing up against unconstitutional attacks from Donald Trump and his administration.

I’ve spent my entire career fighting for the people – I've brought landmark workers’ rights lawsuits that put thousands of dollars of stolen wages back in the pockets of workers; investigated violations of state housing laws to put a stop to wrongful evictions and keep tenants in their homes; and I've taken the Trump Administration to court and won.

As City Attorney, I’ll make sure Los Angeles puts people first—protecting workers, keeping people housed, and prioritizing public safety. And I’ll restore integrity to the Office to make sure our City delivers for Angelenos, no matter the challenge.
