The RUFFHouse Juneteenth Jubilee began as a backyard gathering of family and friends seeking to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, while celebrating the richness of Black culture in and around Baltimore. The event has grown over the years and now includes hundreds of guests from all over the East Coast. This year, the event will be held in support of Delegate Malcolm P. Ruff’s campaign committee and will be open to the public, but campaign donations are encouraged! Scheduled for Saturday, June 15 at Penhurst Park in the heart of the 41st District, this event promises to be a vibrant fusion of education, entertainment, and empowerment, featuring three local bands, food trucks, vendors, cultural performances, and more. Access to VIP tent sections of the event can be obtained by making a $50 donation, and access to the afterparty can be obtained by making a donation of $175. Afterparty includes dinner and entertainment.
