Teresa Reyba Luiz is proud to be a product of Arizona public schools. Her career as an educator has spanned three decades, with roles ranging from math teacher to administrator to community college president. From being a first-generation college student, to being a woman in STEM, to being one of the just 1% of Latinas in the United States to earn a doctorate degree, she has consistently broken barriers and defied expectations, never backing down from a challenge. Dr. Ruiz understands that public education is the heart and soul of Arizona, and that is why she is running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
