My name is Sadi Summerlin, and I have recently made the decision to run for US Representative, District 3 of Louisiana. This office is currently held by Clay Higgins - a dangerous extremist that has empowered hate. 

I have been running ProChoice With Heart - Gulf Coast since May of 2022. We are a grassroots movement dedicated to fighting for reproductive rights and freedom. 

Our mission is to connect abortion and reproductive rights: grassroots activists, organizations, and groups across the gulf coast region to strengthen the fight for reproductive freedom. 

We provide information about Louisiana state bills and elected officials and candidates who support and attack reproductive rights. We also provide information about legislative actions around the nation to ensure people know safe states to access abortions, and the level of hostility in states that are enforcing abortion bans. 

We provide information about resources for abortion access options. 

However, more is needed and I have heard a whisper turn into a screaming voice that cannot be ignored. 

Louisianans want reform and change across the spectrum of social progress:

• Reproductive freedom
• Gun reform 
• Investment in quality, accessible, and inclusive education from early education through upper education
• Affordable housing and basic essentials
• Workers’ rights and livable pay
• Ensuring environmental health and safety
• And so much more. 

This is going to take work and tenacity to bring those changes, and those changes cannot happen without the accountability of the people. 

To bring the changes we are fighting for, our voices must be brought to the table where decisions are being made. The current representatives of Louisiana do not represent the majority of the people, and I seek to help change that.
