Salon: "Trump left spinning by Kamala’s surprise strength"

It didn’t take long.

Shortly after Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris appeared Tuesday on stage in Philadelphia with Gov. Tim Walz, the Trump disinformation team vaulted into action. They criticized Walz’s populist roots, made fun of his demeanor, his speech and attacked his record of serving in the National Guard – conveniently forgetting their own candidate never served a day in the service and got out of military service because of “bone spurs.” 

This right here, these cheap shots he's taking at MSG (Ret.) Tim Walz calling his 24 years of military service into question here boils my blood.

These jackaloons - including Commander Bone Spurs himself - have no place attacking the miltary service of an honorable man's service. So I told them so.

Democratic activist Richard Ojeda, who spent 24 years in the military, defended Walz, accusing Republicans of distorting the governor’s record (there’s a shock). “This man did 24 years in the National Guard, deployed overseas and he was selected for the highest seat in the enlisted world,” Ojeda told me of Walz. “He was operating in that position and then he retired. This guy is a solid guy.”

Of course, Vance is an easy target. He’s as honest as Trump, as genuine as plastic and as appealing as a hot, steaming pile of Republican rhetoric. He has little chance of being an effective debater; or as Ojeda said, “He’ll get stomped like a narc at a biker rally."

And it's the truth, he will. But as 'funny' and 'weird' as Vance and his brand of crazy is, they're also dangerous, and we need to take the threat of Project 2025 deadly serious.

That's why I'm fighting with my fellow veterans & Democratic operatives at Turn Left, launching 'Resist Project 2025' to fight in those important battleground districts.

We've already launched billboards attacking Vance in his hometown, and now we're gearing up to launch our first endorsements this weekend. We need to put ads on TV in those critical swing districts.
