Samantha Kattan is a first-generation daughter of immigrants, a working parent, tenant organizer, and a democratic socialist running to represent the diverse communities of Assembly District 37 living in Long Island City, Maspeth, Ridgewood, Sunnyside and Woodside.

After over a decade of organizing and advocating for tenants' rights, Samantha is taking our people-powered movement to Albany. Together, we will fight for strong housing protections, affordable healthcare, universal childcare, immigrant protections, and more green spaces for our communities. These are not luxuries. They are basic human rights. Our movement will build a New York where the people who make our city run can afford to live, stay, and thrive.
