I'm Samy Nemir Olivares, and I'm the District Leader for Brooklyn's Assembly District 53rd representing Williamsburg, East Williamsburg, and Bushwick.
I'm a Puerto Rican-Dominican, queer, and progressive activist. I believe in housing, education, and health care as human rights, and that progressive local politics are essential to effect change from the grassroots.
District Leader is an unpaid, voluntary party position with no staff or office that relies on volunteer work and your contributions. Your donations help support Samy's civic engagement work that includes voter registration drives, ranked-choice voting education, and local organizing, as well community services including food distributions, and activities about education, housing, and health care.
