Sara's Fundraising for the Campaign to Elect Emily Shetty

Please support my dear friend Emily Shetty as she embarks upon her campaign to represent the 18th district in the Maryland House of Delegates. Emily was born to immigrant parents and was raised by a single mother who was a small business owner. Emily began serving her community at age nine and received the local United Way's "Community Hero" award years later in 2001, in recognition of her service to numerous local charities including Big Brother, Big Sisters; the Arc of High Point (NC); Habitat for Humanity; and several others.

With a Law degree from Catholic University's Columbus School of Law, Emily has continued serving her community in her professional life as well. As a Maryland licensed attorney, Emily works for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as the head of federal legislative affairs, where she advocates for the needs of cancer patients before Congress.
