Bold, experienced, and proven leadership for students and families.
Community colleges shaped the trajectory of his life.
Cameron Sasai began his higher education journey at our Contra Costa Community Colleges before transferring to and graduating from the University of California, Davis. The opportunities, mentorship, and support he found in the community college system opened doors that shaped his future in public service.
Since then, Cameron has dedicated his career to serving his hometown of Pinole. He broke barriers as the first Filipino American elected to the Pinole City Council at the age of 22 and later made history again as the City of Pinole's youngest Mayor.
Now, Cameron is running for the Contra Costa Community College Governing Board to give back to the system that invested in him and to ensure that every student has the opportunity to build their future.
With a proven record of public service, fiscal management, and public policy experience, Cameron will work to keep community college affordable, strengthen career pathways, prioritize safety for every student, and ensure that our community colleges remain engines of opportunity for generations to come.
