Ohio Priority Race

Former U.S. Senator and longtime friend of HRC, Sherrod Brown (D-OH), is running to reclaim a Senate seat in 2026. He is a steadfast champion for the LGBTQ+ community and has always stood strong in his commitment to creating a better and brighter future for all Ohioans.


Priorities for U.S. Senate

  • Republicans are targeting Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), who has been a consistent supporter of choice, marriage equality and the Equality Act.
  • Angie Craig (D-MN) was the first openly LGBTQ mom elected to Congress, and now she's running to bring pro-equality leadership to the US Senate.
  • As New Hampshire's first out Member, Chris Pappas (D-NH) sponsored the Equality Act and helped protect marriage equality.

First Term Openly LGBTQ+ U.S. House

In 2025, the U.S. House gained three newly elected LGBTQ+ women serving in districts across the country. Each made history with their victories and are serving as champions in Congress.

  • Washington's 6th District: Rep. Emily Randall (D)
