Please join us on April 3 for an update on the Alaska political landscape and work being done now to win in 2026.
Thursday, April 3
1:00pm ET /Noon CT / 11:00am MT/10:00pm PT / 9:00am AKT
Our goal is two-fold. First, in these times of upheaval and uncertainty, we hope Senate Circle can be a political community that gives each of us energy. Second, we want to learn about Alaska's politics and their unique influence on our country.
Three features of Alaska politics that intrigue us:
- Sen. Dan Sullivan is facing his first mid-term election with Trump as President. We believe he's the third most vulnerable Republican in 2026. What can be done now to help defeat him and slow down his support of Trump, MAGA, and Musk?
- Nick Begich narrowly won Alaska's at-large US House seat in 2024 from incumbent Mary Pelota. Is he vulnerable in 2026?
- In both of their state legislatures, house and senate, Alaska has functional coalition majorities comprised of Democrats, Independents, and moderate Republicans. Is this model a pathway to retaking the US Congress by building similar coalitions in red states?
Speakers:
Aubrey Wieber, Executive Director of 907 Initiative
Hosted by Senate Circle
P.S. If you are moved to donate, note that the 907 Initiative is keeping Alaskans informed on how the votes cast by Sen. Dan Sullivan influence their daily lives.
